With Doug Stewart of lichen Estate
In 2000, Doug and Ana Stewart bought a 203-acre farm in the heart of Anderson Valley that had been a sheep ranch for 150 years. Oaks, bays, and madrones lined the four creeks and dotted the rolling hills of their watershed. And every winter the oaks lost their leaves but the green ghostly garb of lichen remained. Hence, they named their farm "Lichen Estate" (pronounced lie-ken) in honor of this beauty and grace.
Today they farm gently, meticulously and organically - striving to leave their children and grandchildren land that is healthier than it was when they arrived. They see their farming and winemaking as symbiotic with this “place” in the Anderson Valley. Join us as we taste their delicious sparkling and still Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris produced from their organically grown, high-density estate vineyard.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of delicious wines, perfectly paired bites and great stories. This is one party not to be missed!
